Our record of excellence in Music Examinations

Our music school takes pride in our record of students achieving excellent results in Music Examinations in the Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB) and the Associate Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). Music exams are a great way to set goals and to achieve excellence in music.

Our Music Faculty

Our music teachers are all tertiary qualified from renowned universities and possess a high level of musical certification. They are personally selected by our Director, making sure each teacher share the same musical and educational values as our mission statement. Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them. All teachers have undergone extensive interviews and background checks to be qualified to join our music faculty. Not only are they highly qualified musicians and specialised on their instruments, but it is their extensive teaching experience and their warm personalities that allow them to become great role models for students at our school. We are confident that we have the right teacher to meet your music lesson needs.

A Great Sense of Community and Belonging

This is an essential benefit of learning at a Music School. Students are often more motivated by observing other students learn in a professional music school environment. When students play for each other in preparation for recitals and for class performances, there is a sense of purpose in being prepared for their class. Students are often more observant than assumed – especially young children. Even just sitting and waiting for their lesson to begin, the students see and hear others coming and going and get caught up in the energy of the professional environment.

Music lessons all year round

Unlike many other music schools, we have music lessons Monday to Sunday, 7 days a week and even during the school holidays. We even include special events activities during the school holidays, such as our summer music program and events. This means students get a fun, music-filled holiday time – not to mention they keep up their practice !

Performance Opportunities – Free Recitals

Every parent wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in a recital. In June and November many of our students choose to perform in our biannual recitals that are free of charge. We hold these either at the school or prestigious auditoriums such as the Ewing Memorial Uniting Church with a grand piano and excellent acoustics. On top of this, we provide Masterclasses and Performance Workshops for more serious students to get even more performance practice.

Professional office staff to serve you

We are a music school that offers full time professional customer service for their students seven days a week. We have office team members who are available at the front desk to assist our clients quickly and professionally.

“My name is Stephanie and I’ve played the violin for about 8 years now. Before receiving lessons from Matthew, I had many trial lessons with multiple teachers, and I can honestly say that I have improved my violin playing and understanding of music the most from taking lessons with him. “
• Stephanie
“Matthew showed me how fun music is and helped me play ‘musical music’ rather than playing what’s just ‘in front of me’. Thanks to him, exams so far have been successful. I enjoy every lesson with him. Matthew is, and will be, the best violin teacher ever!”
• Esther
“Matthew taught me so well from the beginning and helped me get through all the exams. I am still looking forward to what he will teach next.”
• David
